Find Your Center Lab

What is my center? I was inspired by the movie, Rise of the Guardians. The key concept "Find Your Center" is the most critical key to change personal development, including meaningful life, good relationship or career path.

"That's what I want to do!"
[Inner voice in my mind]

Therefore, I started the first project PersonalWire to learn how to conntect the dots and tried to help friends to find their personal traits. The following clips are key dialogues in Rise of the Guardians:

[North is trying to explain to Jack what a "center" is, using a w:Matryoshka doll. Jack takes it apart and sees at the center...]
Jack: (dryly) There's a tiny wooden baby.
North: Look closer. What do you see?
Jack: You have big eyes...
North: Yes! Big eyes, very big, because they are full of wonder. That is my center. It is what I was born with, eyes that have only seen the wonder in everything! Eyes that see lights in the trees and magic in the air. This wonder is what I put into the world, and what I protect in children. It is what makes me a guardian. It is my center, what is yours?
Jack: I don't know.
[Jack tries to give back the doll but North signals him to keep it]

I got the frog's slogan "Love What You Make" that gave me a faith again to help people find their center during ECSEL Youth Program in China in 2013. It made me realize why I can help them. There are three key traits I have: (1) observe people, (2) connect dots in context, and (3) design mindset.

My third inspiration is from IDEO's book Creative Confidence. Why I love to help people find out their center? I found that when people get their center even it's temporary, they will obviously feel their creative confidence. For me, I not only get more confidence to face design challenges for my work but also I feel the world will be more better. I believe, "find your center" is the first key to start our meaningful life. And only this way is the best way to feel real happiness.
