LOVE WHAT WE MAKE

I'm a product designer who strives for business design from business strategy to user experience. In recent years, I've been working on experience of digital devices and web services by user-centered process which inspires us a lot in finding user insights for problem-solving. Currently I'm working for ASUS IoT strategy and engaging to build up working process with Singapore team.

In my life, I've been leading the service team at Taiwan Magic Development Association (TMA) since 2011. In my belief, design process is like practical magic that is full of possibilities between attention and inattention. On the other hand, my adventurous character encouraged me to start an online business during 2007 and 2009. I was also a qualified blogger in 2008 BlogAward final.

Project planning from user mindset to UI flow design. The projects were mobile interaction flow of ZenUI services for ZenFone2 that includes Telephony, Modes and Music applications; and the experience of connecting devices in context of life that includes wearable of mobile healthcare and smart home system.

MAIN PROJECTS


One of ZenUI members, focus on mobile communication experience. We planed mindsets and designed UI flow with planners and GUI designers. The products include Telephony (Phone / Callguard / Dual SIM, Messaging, Contacts, Easy mode, ZenUI apps support and cooperation with AT&T & KDDI) and Safety service (Snapview and Kids mode).

Redefine plans of ASUS healthcare and designed the roadmap from wellness to sub-health. Our service plan will focus on Mobile Health that bases on Health Engine, VivoPulse. We are improving the scalability of 3-party apps and combining resources to cooperate with Wellness app of ZenWatch. *Happiness Index is an on-going design experiment with experts about physical and mental health that include exercise, sleep, stress and eating.

E-ZEL PROJECTS
Three main studies in Ezel Project, including Prototype Usability, User Mistriggering Test (Usability), SW Usability (Snipping Tool) and User Trial Research (by using Card Sorting and Scenario Interaction process).

HOME PLACEMENT RESEARCH
By connecting innovative products to brand experiences, I provided a 4-period assumption into the experience cycle and designed the one-year research plan. It was a great exploring challenge.

ACERCLOUD USER SCENARIO & UX STUDY
We found out the problems from the current UI flow of AcerCloud service. We defined the key scenarios from user's mental model to converge the improvement plan for Clear.fi (Music, Video, Photo) and AcerCloud Docs.

COMMUNICATION APPLICATION
We listed 40 features after comparing the benchmark with 8 competitors and classified them into 4 key features. Then we applied the features in 3 focus groups and contextual analysis workshop.

Web Product Manager

Product Development & Data Product Plan / < 1 YEAR

Cross-sectoral coordination and communication for the design projects, including new Travel channel (Groupon Getaways Taiwan), deals map analysis tool, EDM themes, statistical reports and functional bugs. I focused on spec and web UI design by Axure, assisted functional plans (like top menu of index page or a/b test) for web development with the product manager of Malaysia, and finally released the proposal for a solution model of refund issue.

MAIN PROJECTS


Deals Map Analysis Tool is a back-end tool to help city team analyze deals data of cities by friendly user interface. Team members can filter by area or revenue to find out potential customers and opportunities from useful data.
It was a cross-sectoral coordination and communication with APEC travel team. The design concept was follow "Scrolling Image (clearly get information by scrolling)" for channel UI. I planned spec and wireframe by Axure and set tracking codes for data analysis.

START-UP EXPERIENCE

GENUINE ENERGY COMPANY / Illumination Bricks
1 YEAR 5 MONTHS

The bricks can be installed on the roof to collect sunlight, with the outer smooth flat to take in sunlight and the inner flat serving as a concentrator of prismatic reflective structure to concentrate incoming light beams to be coupled and fed into plastic fiber optic pipe for transmission. The coupled light beams will then be released through light release board to provide indoor lighting.

Illumination brick is able to collect 10% of sunlight and a ping (about 36 square feet) of illumin-bricks should be able to provide enough light for a room of 10 pings. The "plants and light" exhibition area of Expo's Pavilion of Future is currently using the illumin-brick technology.

Sole International Company (Taiwan Sole) was founded with key partner, Momentum company, on March 2007 and had dissolved on 11th May, 2010. We sold the sports products (Nike, Adidas, Puma, New Balance...etc. over 10 brands and 800 more items) on the Yahoo! Taiwan and PChome eBay, and attained six successive quarterly sales targets. We launched a social commerce platform Sole.tw for limited products.

THE DESIGN OF XING-FU ON SNS USE
This paper proposed a new metal model, Xing-Fu Model (XFM), that explored the participant¡¦s Xing-Fu in happiness has significant impact on stickiness of the social network site. Drawing on the XFM, we designed four senses of Xing-Fu on social network site (SNS) and examined the features of participants who were not for fame and profit but just for happiness and the relationship between sense of person value, well-off, security, inner heaven and Xing-Fu, and stickiness.
