Snipping Tool Usability

Snipping tool is a image capturing tool in Windows 8 and a default application in Acer Aspire R7. We designed 6 tasks to reflect user experience and evaluated user benefits to filter key features. The design of UI and prototypes include snipping tool menu, editing application and collection system.

Trial usage: We indicate the gesture to trigger the tool bar. Users can operate the tool with Think Aloud Method on first impression.

Usability test: Users operate the capture function with Acer snipping tool. Through practice and the 5 tasks to complete the operation of functions by touch experience.

User benefits evaluation: We discuss and evaluate the features, including instant capture, editing, sharing, and collection to summarize the testing.
